Phenothiazine is sold as an anthelmintic.  The crude product (Thiamin S) was sold during the war for destroying mosquito larvae in sources of water in the field.  现在の主用途は各种重合用モノマ- の制造时に重合を防止するために使用される工程重合防止剂であり, 。。。

Process:

The reaction is carried out in molecular proportions in the presence of a trace of aluminium chloride as catalyst.  Diphenylamine containing 1% aluminium chloride is melted (120 – 130℃)in a 2000 litre iron, direct gas fired vessel fitted with an agitator.  Molten sulfur from a smaller iron vessel is blown in at 120℃. via a steam heated pipe and the mixture is heated to 170℃. during 8 hours.  Sulfurated hydrogen is absorbed in a caustic soda washing tower.  The melt is then heated to 200℃ and is blown to a large iron tray and allowed to cool.  The solid mass is broken, up, milled and packed for sales as Thiamin S.  Yield of Thiamin S = 95-100% theory from diphenylamine.   Total production = 400 – 500 tons.

This crude phenothiazine had been powdered and used for the destruction of mosquito larvae.

The roughly broken Thiamin S (500-600 kg per charge) is charged to a gas fired iron pan and distilled at 200-210℃/ 2-3 mm. via a splash head and short take-off to an iron receiver.  No forerunnings are collected and the residue (approx. 10% of the charge) is discarded.

The solid is broken up, milled and extracted in an enameled iron pan by agitation with 95% ethanol (to remove trace of diphenylamine).  The slurry is filtered through a porous stone pressure filter and the product is dried at 80-100℃.

The product is white powder possessing a faint grey-blue tinge.  M.P. 182-183℃.  Yield of phenothiazine = 75-80% theory from diphenylamine.

Total production = 20 tons (5-6 tons / month).

    1. 硫化:配料比  二苯胺:硫黄 = 1:0.33.  将二苯胺,硫黄以碘片为触媒在170-1800反应,将产生的硫化氢排至吸收塔以氢氧化钠水溶液吸收消除。反应3小时,待硫化氢放尽出料。

2。 粉碎精制:配料比  硫化二苯胺:乙醇:活性炭 = 1:14.4:0.12.   将硫化二苯胺粉碎后,与乙醇,炭末一起加入精制罐,回流2小时,趁热抽滤,热滤液贮在结晶罐中,放置24小时,甩净乙醇,将结晶于90-1050干燥即得。

    ジフェニルアミンと硫黄の反应:ジフェニルアミンと硫黄を触媒の存在下で加热する。触媒としてヨウ素ん1% 用い,150-180℃で行うとほとんど定量的进む。触媒には盐化アルミニウムなど求电子型の触媒も用いられるし,CO2 气流中で行うと纯度の良いものが得られる。

生产方法:将二苯胺,硫磺与碘混合后,加热进行反应,反应毕,将反应产物吹出,捕集后,经酒精和乌洛托品混合液洗涤,然后热风干燥,粉碎即得。  原料消耗定额:二苯胺1660 kg/t,硫磺660 kg/ t。碘片17 kg/ t。
