168 kg. HCl 200Be’ and 125 kg. Diethyl-m-phenetidine are charged into 150 litres water in the nitroso vessel. The temp. rises to about 40℃. and is brought down by stirring and with coil cooling to -3℃.
114 kg. Nitrite soln. 40% and 114 kg. Salt soln. Are mixed and run in a thin stream on to the oil mixture during 6 – 7 hours at -2 to +2℃. After the addition the batch is stirred a further hour, and then allowed to stand overnight.
A mixture of 46 kg. Zinc chloride in 20 litres water and 200 kg. Salt soln. (con.) is made and run into the nitroso next morning at 10-12℃. during 1 hour. The temp. rises to 18-19℃。 The nitroso precipitates mainly in a finely divided form, with some small nodules which break down under stirring. Good agitation is essential during precipitation, and after a further 2 hours stirring, the nitroso is filtered. It can be allowed to remain in contact with the mother liquor longer than this, but it must be stirred the whole time, or a slow filtering form is obtained, which retains more salt. The nutsche cake is drawn by dry and then pressed on the nutsche. The cake of nitroso diethyl-m-phenetidine hydrochloride weighs between 380 and 450 kg. and tests about 35% (base M.W. 222) = about 155 kg. hydrochloride (M.W. 258) = about 93% theory.

话说CAS号的检索:
在2019年2月20日星期三上网的C.I. 碱性蓝3中,提到亚硝化中间体,为了上网必须先检索到它们的CAS号,为此只能査无锡市图书馆仅有的一点CA。结果:所述OR中,R=甲基,CAS号 [97-19-8]; R=乙基,CAS号 [61971-76-2]。其实,两者都是早期的化工产品。所以说,大号的CAS号,不等于新产品。
Beil. 13. E4. 介绍:[61791-76-2] 是绿色结晶,熔点72.5℃. 文献是1952年(Recueil des Travaux Chimiques des Pays-Bas = 荷比二国化学论文集)。
再说历史文献的利用:
CAS号 [61971-76-2],只能说明CA也是后来编入的,从CA中可以看出,日本人发表的4篇专利,就是利用它开发了用于转移印花的染料。
