I.  Arbeitsweise:    操作步骤：

Im Kessel (1) warden aus 700 kg Schwefelsaeure 96% und 1300 kg Oleum 20%ig, 2000 kg Oleum 6%ig gestellt. Man traegt 60 kg kristallierte Borsaeure ein, zu deren Loesung ¹/₂ Syunde auf 70⁰ geheizt wird. Man kuehlt die Loesung auf 20⁰ ab und traegt 300 kg mit verduennter Salzsaeure ausgekochtes 1.1‘-Dianthrachinoyl-

-amin ein. Man heizt ¹/₂ Stunde lang auf 60⁰, damit sich die Borsaure-verbindung bilen kann. In die tiefblau gefaerbte Loesung laesst man innerhalb 4-6 Stunden bei 20-25⁰ 440 kg Mischsaeure T (28% HNO₃) zulaufen. Man laesst zur Beendigung der Reaktion 1-2 Stunden nachruehren und drueckt die Schmelze in 12000 l Wasser, die in einer Buette (2) vorgelegt worden sind. Man ruehrt die Schmelze 1-2 Stunden nach,bis sie nicht mehr nach Nitrose riecht. Hierauf wird sie ein Montejus (3) abgelassen und in eine Presse (4) gedrueckt. Man waescht mit kaltem Wasser neutral.

II.  Apparatur:    设备：

(1)  Ein 3000 l eiserner Kessel mit Ruehrwerk und Aussenmantel zum Heizen und Kuehlen

(2)  Eine 25000 l saeurefest ausgemauerte Buette mit gummiertem und asplitietem

(3)  Ein 12000 l saeurefest ausgemauertes Montejus.

(4)  Eine Holzpresse, 28 Rahmen  1200 x 1200 x 55mm mit Nitrotuechern bespannt. Fassungsraum 1,1 cbm. Die Press fasst nur die Haelfte der Partir, sie wird deshalb 2 mal taeglich geraeumt.

Plant:  3000 l. Iron vessel with jacket.     25000 l. tile-lined tank, with rubber agitator.

      25000 l. receiver, blow egg, wooden presses, 28 frames (1200 x 1200 x 55 mm) dressed with nitro cloth.

Method:

    700 kg. 96% sulphuric acid and 1300 kg. 20% oleum are mixed to give 2000 kg. 6% oleum and 60 kg. boric

Acid added. Heated to 70⁰C. Held ¹/₂ hour. Cooled to 20⁰C. and 300 kg of dianthrimide added. Heated to 60⁰C.

for ¹/₂ hour and at 20-25⁰C. added during 4-6 hours 440 kg. mixed acid containing 28% HNO₃.  Agitated for 2

hours at 20-25⁰C. and blown into 12,000 litres water. Agitated for 1-2 hours until there are no nitrous fumes.

Filtered and washed neutral with cold water.

4,4’-Dinitro-1,1’-Dianthrimid

    This product was manufactured at Leverkusen as follows:

    In an iron kettle are placed 700 kilograms of sulfuric acid 96% and 13000 kilograms oleum 20% to form 2000

Kilograms of oleum 6%.

    60 kilograms of crystallized boric acid are then added, the mixture is heated to 70⁰ for one-half hour to tho-

-roughly dissolve, then is cooled back to 20⁰, and 300 kilograms of 1,1’-dianthrimid are added. The temperature

is raised to 60⁰ and held for one-half hour longer to form the boric acid compound.

    To the deep blue-colored solution is added, during an interval of 4-6 hours at a temperature of 20-25⁰, 440

Kilograms of mixed acid (28% nitric), and the mixture is allowed to agitate for 1-2 hours longer and the melt then

Blown into 12,000 liters of water in a tub.

    This slurry is agitated for 1-2 hours longer until it no longer smells of nitric oxide. It is then run into a Monte-

-jus and blown to a filter press, after which it is washed neutral with cold water.
