Materials: 投料量： 5-Nitro-o-anisidin-4-sulphonic acid at 100%  265 kg.。  Iron borings  300 kg.

Reduction: 操作步骤：

The  reduction vessel is charged with 1000 l. of water,, 300 kg. of iron borings and sufficient acetic acid to give a test for soluble iron.  It is heated to 89℃ and the nitro compound added such a rate that the temperature is maintained at 80-85℃ (should this be exceeded ice must be added).  The reduction must always be slightly acid to litmus paper.  The reduction is complete when a spot on paper is colourless.

40 kg. of soda ash are added to precipitate soluble iron salts and the batch then screened and the iron oxide washed with hot water.

Yield total liquor = 85% theory.

在7000 L铸铁衬砖还原锅中加入1000 L水，300 kg铁粉和足够产生溶剂铁的醋酸。加热到80℃，缓缓加入265 kg 100% 2-氨基-5-硝基苯甲醚-4-磺酸，加入速度要使温度保持在80-85℃，这需要加入冰，还原应经常对石蕊试纸为微酸性，当滴在滤纸上为无色即为还原完成。

加入40 kg 碳酸钠以沉淀溶解的铁盐，然后过滤，用热水洗涤铁泥。滤液收率85%。
