Outline: 概要：2’,5’-Diethoxybenzanilide is nitrated with aqueous nitric acid at the boil. 

Plant: 设备：1  10000 l. tiled vat, steam pipe V2A, Pitch pine, agitator.  Take-off with water absorption of V2A。   1  10000 l. tiled blow-egg。

1  4 cb. m. wooden nutsche, with tiled bottom 900 l. measure vessel, V2A, for nitric acid。  All lines are rubber。

Materials: 投料量：2’,5’-Diethoxybenzanilide moist, ground.  1000 kg. @ 84% = 840 kg. 100% = 203 kg. NaNO2.

Process: 操作步骤：

The tiled iron vessel is charged with 1800 l. of water at 250 and 500 kg. of 450Be‘ (78.5%) nitric acid, and the diethoxybenzanilide is then shovelled in during 0.5 hour.  The temperature rises by the heat of reaction to 50 – 60℃. during 4 – 5hours, and the reaction mass becomes olive-green in colour.

Test: A sample is filtered, washed with soda solution and then with water.  If the m. p. is 120 – 130℃ then it is ready for further reaction.

It is heated with direct steam to the boil and boiled for 4 – 5 hours, forming a yellow-coloured thick mass.

Test: A sample treated as above should have a m. p. of 141 – 146℃.  If this is the case the nitration is complete.  It is diluted with 2000 – 2500 l. cold water whereby the temperature falls to 55 – 600.  It is dropped to the water whereby the temperature falls to 55 – 600.  It is dropped to the nutsche at this temperature and washed well with cold water.   Yield = 1400 – 1500 kg. paste ≈892 kg. 100% (=186.5 kg. NaNO2) = 92% theory.

前记84% 品（抄注：CAS号[92-22-8]）1 t + 水1.8 t + 78.5% 硝酸500 kgからペ-スト1400 – 1500 kg = 100% 892 kg（NaNO2 186.5 kg相当）を德る。收率92%。

在10000 L锅中加入1800 L水和500 kg 78.5% 硝酸，于0.5小时内加入1000 kg 84% 湿的2’,5’-二乙氧基苯甲酰苯胺，相当于203 kg 亚钠量。由于反应热于4 – 5小时内温度升至50 – 60℃，反应物变为橄榄绿色。

检验：取样过滤，碳酸钠溶液洗，水洗，干燥。测熔点为120 – 130℃，可以进一步反应。 用直接蒸汽加热至沸，沸腾4 – 5小时，形成黄色稠厚物质。取样如上检验：熔点应为141 – 146℃，说明硝化完成。

用2000 – 2500 L水稀释，温度降至55 – 60℃，在此温度抽滤，冷水洗涤。得到1400 – 1500 kg滤饼，相当于892 kg 100% 4’-硝基-2’,5’-二乙氧基苯甲酰苯胺，收率92%。

This substance, the complete name of which is 5-benzoylamino-2-nitro-hydroquinone diethoxyether, (5-benzoylamino-2-nitro-1,4-diethoxybenzene) is produced by nitration of “Benzodiäth”by means of aqueous nitric acid at the boiling point.  The yield is 92% of the theoretical .  In German.
