Farbenindustrie Processes:
i. Hoechst: Permanent Yellow NCG Powder
Trade Name: Permanentgelb NCG Pulver (Hoe.)
Composition: 本人有加注。
2:4-dichloroaniline à Naphthol
AS-G à
Principal Uses: Yellow pigment
fast to overlacquering (lacquer solvents).
Batch Size: 2 Mol.
Process:
Diazotization 原译文,按德文格式,我把它连着写了。
324 kg. 2:4-dichloroaniline are pasted the day before
diazotization with 1000 l. H2O and 1700 l. HCl 5N. After heating to
800C. it is stirred overnight. Next A.M. it is cooled with ice to 00C;
then 262 l. NaNO2 40% by volume are run in under the surface, first
quite rapidly then later more slowly. Should show a slightly positive test for
nitrous acid on diphenyl sulfone paper and this should still remain after 1
hour stirring. The rather turbid diazo solution is clarified.
Solution
& Precipitation of NAS – G
5000 l. H2O are run into coupling vat 400
kg. Naphthol AS-G (pretested, for solubility in NaOH) are added and stirred 1/2
hour. 340 l. NaOH 33% by volume are
added and the NAS-G stirred to solution. Volume is made with ice and H2O
to 18,000 l. at 70C. 50 kg. “Emulphor FM oil soluble” * prepared
by stirring with a Hoerschagitator in 200 l. H2O of 300C. is then added. 355 l. NaOH 33% is added and then the NAS-G
precipitated with 580 l. Acetic acid
100%. The temperature rises to 11-120C. and the suspension should be
positive to “deltasaurer” (See BIOS Report). The suspension is stirred for 1/4
hour.
Coupling
The dazo solution is run thru a clarification press
directly to the NAS-G under the surface over a period of 2 hours.
Simultaneously a solution of 25 kg. “Emulphor O * (Emulphor O should not be added
to diazo solution because it smeare the press cloths, etc.) is added. The
coupling shows free diazo. The product is then heated over 1 hour to 400C.
whereby coupling is completed. Then tested with R Salt solution, stirred 1/2
hour, and filtered, washed well, and dried at 550C.
Yield: 800 kg.=247%
of original weight of 2,4-dichloroaniline.
Notes: With a good quality of NAS-G
precipitation can be accomplished by use of 900 kg. NaAcetate and 800 l. HCl 5N in place of acetic acid after
addition of the Emulphor FM by adding the NaAc and then the HCl.
*Emulphor FM oil soluble = triethanolamine oleic acid
ester.
