Process:

   534 kg. of J acid paste equivalent to 95 kg. NaNO₂ and 205 kg. of p-aminobenzaldehyde 100% (= 117 kg NaNO₂) are dissolved at 50⁰ in 1500 l. of water containing 85 kg. of soda ash. The solution should be weakly alkaline.

   Into this solution at 70⁰ is blown a sodium polysulphide solution made from 1000 l. of water, 720 kg. of 32% sodium sulphide and 70 kg. of suphur, during 4 hours. The mixture is heated to 103⁰ and maintained 45 hours.

   1400 l. of hydrochloric acid 19⁰Be’ are then run in carefully and after ¹/₂ hour the batch is adjusted to 85⁰ (Congo acidity) and blown to the filter press.

   The press residue is dissolved in 4000 l. of water with addition of 160 kg. of soda ash (weakly alkaline), filtered hot and the residue washed with 3000 l. of hot water. After cooling to 30⁰ the batch is salted with 1200 kg. of rock salt.

   The precipitated product is filtered in a press and blown as dry as possible.

   Yield = 1000 kg. paste = 72 kg. NaNO₂ = 72.5% theory on J acid.

Apparatur:  设备：

1.   16000 Ltr. schmiedeeiserner Ruehrkskessel.  2. 13000 Lttr. Ausgemauerter Ruehrkskessel.

3.   10000 Ltr.  Montejus.  4.   Pressen.

Verfahren:  操作步骤：

   1500 Ltr. Wasser  85 kg Soda  534 kg j-Saeure (= 95 kg Nitrit) und 205 kg p-Amidobenzaldehyd 100%ig werden bei 50⁰ geloest (schwach alkalisch). In diese Loesung wird eine Polysulfidloesung bestehend aus 1000 Ltr. Wasser  720 kg Schwefelnatrium (32%ig). 70 kg schwefel bei 70⁰ zugedrueckt, im Lauf von 4 Stunden auf 103⁰ geheizt und 45 Stunden bei dieser Temperatur geruehrt.

   Zur fertigen Reaktionsschmelze laufen langsam 1400 Ltr. HCl 19⁰Be‘ zu. ¹/₂ Stunde nach beendetem Zulauf wird auf 85⁰ geheizt (Kongosauer) und gepresst.

   Der Presserueckstand wird in 4000 Ltr. Wasser unter Zusatz von 160 kg Soda (schwach alkalisch) geloest, heiss gepresst und der Rueckstand mit 3000 Ltr. heissem Wasser gewaschen. Nach dem Abkuehlen der Bruehen auf 30⁰ wird die Schwefelrosasaeure mit 1200 kg Steinsalz ausgesalzen, gepresst und but trocken geblasen.

   Ausbeute:  1000 kg Schwefelrosasaeure = 72 kg Nitrit.
