Starting materials: Nitroaminoacridine, moist.   25 kg. iron Turnings.   2.4 kg. hydrochloric acid crude. 

The moist nitro compound from [20304-70-6] is suspended in 160 l. of water, and the suspension added in small portions to a mixture of 24 kg. iron turnings, 2.4 kg. of hydrochloric acid and 40 l. of water at 85-95℃.  The reduction takes about 2 hours and the test for completeness is when a drop of the mixture on filter paper gives a clear yellow zone away from the centre.  The iron sludge is filtered off on a heated suction filter, be boiled up several times with 10 l. portions of water and filtered off each time.  The combined filtrates are acidified to Congo with hydrochloric acid and treated with 2 l. of 25% sodium chloride solution.  The crude hydrochloride is filtered off after cooling.  It is warmed to 90℃. with 100 l. of water, 600 g. of aqueous ammonia are added, the solution further heated to 100℃. with 800 g. of decolorizing charcoal and filtered.  To the filtrate 10 kg. of hydrochloric acid and 2 l. of 25% sodium chloride solution are added as before.  This purification is repeated three to four times until a test sample gives a clear solution at a dilution of 1 in 100 with water.

About five reduction units are in use and the filters are of porous stoneware.

乳酸盐水和物（アクリノ- ル。Acrinol）; CA [1837-57-6]. Mp. 245℃（分解）。10 局p.25. 黄色结晶粉末で具臭，热湯に易溶，水。沸腾エタノ- ルに易溶。【用途】杀菌消毒药。【毒性】LD 50（マウス，腹腔内）42 mg/kg.  日本医药品集，7版，p.3.

从日文手册可以看出，日本人也没有提到BIOS。当然，这已是过时的历史资料！唯一可以参考的是：他们在1985年已利用了CAS号。而我们，如：张澍声 《精细化工中间体工业生产技术》一书，这是1996年的出版物，就是没有CAS号！
