400 kg. hydroquinone and 2300 l. 17% caustic soda solution are charged to the autoclave, cooled to room temperature and 580 kg. ethyl chloride forced in under nitrogen pressure.  The temperature then rises due to the heat of reaction to 110-113^℃. p. = 13-18 ats.  Agitation is continued for 3 hours at 120^℃. and a sample taken from the batch: the unwashed ether should have C. P. -67^℃.  The ether is washed with 500 l. water and 30 kg. caustic soda 40% solution to remove hydroquinone, etc.  The product is then granulated by cooling, filtered on a vacuum filter and finally centrifuged.

Hydroquinone  0.72 tone Yield – 92.1% theory.。  Ethyl chloride  1.06 t.。  Caustic soda  0.64 t.。

    译自PB 77764.  ハイドロキノン400 kg，NaOH 17% 2.3³，盐化エチル580 kgを120⁰，3 h反应。收量555 kg. 收率92.1%。 cp 67⁰。

将400 kg 氢醌和2300 L 17% 氢氧化钠溶液加到高压釜中，冷却到室温，用氮气压入580 kg 氯乙烷。由于反应热温度上升到110-130^℃，压力13-18巴。在120^℃继续搅拌3小时，取样检验，未洗涤醚熔点应为67^℃，将醚用500 L水和30 kg 40% 氢氧化钠溶液洗涤以除去氢醌。产品冷却造粒，真空过滤，离心脱水。每吨氢醌二乙醚消耗0.72吨氢醌，收率92.1%。 干氢醌二乙醚熔点69^℃，水分≤6%。
