A solution of nitrosyl sulfuric acid ([7782-78-7]，已在2019年6月17日上网) (prepared by dissolving 8.0g sodium nitrite in 150g concentrated sulfuric acid) was cooled to 20°C. and 26.3g 6-bromo-2,4-dinitroaniline [1817-73-8] (0.1 mol.) added.  The diazonium mixture was stirred at 15-20°C for 2 h and added to a solution of 25..9g 3-N-β-cyanoethyl-N-ethyl-4-methoxyacetanilide [19433-94-4] (0.1 mol/L) in 60g acetic acid, 167g water and 194g ice and the mixture stirred for 1 h at 0-5°C.  The coupling mass was neutralized to pH 7.0 with caustic soda, heated to 90°C and held for 1h. The separated dye was filtered and the cake washed sulfate free.

The yield was 47.7g (90% of the theoretically calculated value).
