Process Description: 

Charge 2,380 kg. oleum 24% to a C.I. sulphonator and add at temperatures not exceeding 30℃. first 970 kg. ethyl-o-toluidine 98% and then 580 kg. oleum 65%.  After 4 hours run to 4,600 l. water or wash liquor from a preceding batch keeping the temperature below 40℃.  Dilute with water to 330Be’ and cool to 25℃. and nutsche.  Wash acid-free with 2,000 l. water and use the washings for the next batch.

Yield: 1,400 kg. per batch = 144 kg. % ethyltoluidine = 92% theory.

在铸铁磺化锅中加入2830 kg 24% 发烟硫酸，在小于30℃先加入970 kg 98% N-乙基邻甲苯胺，再加入580 kg 65% 发烟硫酸。4小时后流入到4600 L水中或上次的洗水中，并温度在40℃以下。用水稀释至比重1.297，冷却到25℃，抽滤，用2000 L水洗至不含酸，洗水用于下次反应。

得1400 kg N-乙基邻甲苯胺-4-磺酸，收率92%。

抄注：因为进口胶卷无人整理和归纳，所以张老先生也不知道有德文原件！一般认为有BIOS已足够了。
